Outreach

Bringing Science to Schools

I am deeply committed to promoting science and inspiring the next generation of scientists. Through my outreach activities, I engage with schools and the wider public to make science accessible, exciting, and relevant. I am particularly proud of my involvement in the Autoreferentes: Mujer y Ciencia (Spanish for Women and Science) programme, whose mission is to promote science while fostering an open-minded and diverse environment where everyone feels welcome to participate and grow. By sharing my own experiences as a woman in STEM, I hope to spark curiosity and empower young students to pursue their interests in science with confidence.

Science Outreach & Public Engagement

I actively engage in science outreach and public engagement activities, including the European Researchers' Night, where I share the excitement of scientific discovery with a broad audience.
In particular, I am passionate about developing and coordinating outreach activities for young children, creating interactive and accessible experiences and encouraging them to explore the world of science. Through these activities, I aim to make science approachable and inspiring from an early age and to foster a lasting interest in scientific thinking and discovery while having fun.

Teaching

Teaching Philosophy

My teaching is guided by equity-minded lecturing and a strong commitment to creating a respectful and inclusive learning environment in which every student feels valued and encouraged to participate.
I believe that even the most complex scientific topics can be made accessible when they are communicated with clarity, enthusiasm, and the right combination of context, appropriate references, and a little humour. By fostering an atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and exploring ideas, I aim to encourage curiosity, confidence, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
